Online therapy has never been so popular and clients are ready for this. Here are some of the advantages so you can decide if it's the right approach for you:
- Convenience - There is no need for you to travel to our sessions. You can join me from wherever is best for you
- Flexibility - If your work pattern is unpredictable or you travel a lot then you can still commit to regular counselling sessions
- Privacy - A bit of geographical distance between us can be reassuring and you don't have to worry that you might bump into me in your local supermarket!
- Anonymity - When you are talking about things that are uncomfortable or difficult, you may feel more relaxed and in control meeting me online rather than face-to-face
I use secure end-to-end encrypted video conferencing via Zoom and can work flexibly around your work and personal commitments.
We will check that you have a stable internet connection when we meet online for the first time. You will also need to make sure you can be online at the agreed time and in a quiet space where you won't be interrupted or overheard.
Bear in mind that there is always going to be a risk of technology failing however we'll agree beforehand what to do in the event of a technical glitch.
Payment is easy too - I simply send you an invoice after our sessions with a remote secure payment link.
